Turmeric Chai Latte

Most powdered turmeric has been cooked and pulverized which contributes to some of its most powerful nutrients being lost in the processing and creating quite a different flavour to the fresh root. This recipe is the quickest and easiest Turmeric Chai Latte recipe that features turmeric at its healthiest.

Ingredients (Makes 2 cups):

2 Tbsp Earth’s Choice Turmeric Paste (use less if you like a more subtle version)

1⁄2 cup hot water

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp ground ginger

1⁄2 tsp ground cardamon

1 cup water

1 cup Earth’s Choice Coconut Milk (blend in case solids have separated)

1 Tbsp coconut palm sugar

Instructions:

  1. Place spices in 1⁄2 cup of hot water and steep for 3 mins.

  2. Bring 1 cup water just to the boil.

  3. Add turmeric, coconut milk, coconut palm sugar and spice mixture and bring to a simmer.

  4. Remove from heat.

  5. Strain turmeric mixture, stir well & enjoy.
